Sunshine Nursery and Kindergarten

Sunshine Nursery and Kindergartens (Taska dan Tadika Sinar Suria) began in 1984 and have brought thousands of children over the first steps into the world of learning. 

We provide a caring and stimulating environment for children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years. 
Children are divided into small groups with trained and experienced care-givers and teachers to guide them through their early childhood education.

OUR APPROACH TO LEARNING

  • Sunshine combines an informal with a formal  approach to learning.

  • Children learn through play combined an informal, hands-on approach, using everyday objects found in the world around them.

  • More formal activities prepare the children to cope with the school system that they will go on to later.

DAILY PROGRAMME AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AREAS

Our Sunshine Integrated Programme is dedicated to nurturing the full potential of children.  The daily activities promote all aspects of development in early childhood education    

Physical

Indoor and outdoor activities develop the children’s gross motor skills. Fine motor skills are also developed through many different activities suitable for their age. 

LANGUAGE

Children will be exposed to both English and Bahasa Malaysia at the centres. English will be the main medium of instruction and communication   

Social & Emotional

Social emotional  and moral aspects are incorporated in all activities. Practical ife activities encourage children to be more independent.

Cognitive

Children gain knowledge through pre-numbers, numbers and early science activities while developing their thinking skills.

Learning Materials

Sunshine integrated programme Books

We have developed our own sets of workbooks and worksheets, based on themes, that cover all the subject areas. 
The books and worksheets are designed  in levels for the different age groups.  The kindergarten materials follow the Malaysia Pre-School Curriculum as set out by the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

Sunshine Educational Computer Games

The Sunshine Educational Computer Games are designed to complement the Sunshine Integrated Programme Books.
The interactive games enhances the learning experience making learning languages, colours, mathematics, shapes and science fun while introducing basic computer skills.
